Head of Content, MEC Wavemaker
Chet has led MEC’s branded content practice in North America since its inception in 2006 (formerly known as MEC Entertainment). With a deep background in entertainment strategy and original content creation, his responsibilities include creating and executing on content strategies across the agency’s clients, connecting data and insights to develop programs that connect with consumers across all stages of the purchase journey.
Under his leadership, MEC has conceived, developed and produced original television and digital programming, ranging from reality shows to animated movies for MTV, CBS, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, and A&E, and award-winning digital and mobile series for Google, MSN, AOL and more. Highlights include the creation of programs such as AT&T’s “CONAN360 VR,” a live, virtual reality integration, IKEA’s award-winning “Fix This Kitchen,” a half-hour kitchen renovation show on A&E, and Schick’s “Epic Tales from the Barbershop,” a digital series integrated into Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Before joining MEC, Chet was Head of Program Development at Fuse, a 24-hour music television network owned by Cablevision. Prior to Fuse, he formed Kinetic Pictures, a Los Angeles-based production company, which developed high concept film and television projects for CBS, Disney, Universal, Time Warner, and Fox. Chet currently serves on the Entertainment Marketing Committee of the 4A’s; and has been selected as a judge for award programs such as ONE Show, VMX among others.
